Garden imagery has been prominent in my processing of the past few years. There’s a gritty, rawness of what it takes to bring forth something- the precarious dance of life and death. There is deep work happening even when we can’t see. Our culture tells us that growth is seated next to happiness or success, but I’ve found that grieving and honesty have produced some of the best healing in my life. It’s radical, this dropping of a seed and trusting that something good could burst forth.
