Sitting in the warmth of an early spring morning, I observed the tree behind my garage, just beginning to bud. Birds were flitting about, my baby watching and cooing. I thought, “I want to be a tree.”
Rooted. Sturdy. Present.
A place of safety, nourishment, rest.
This is what “righteousness” looks like - being right with God, others, and creation. Working for their flourishing. This is what heaven will look like. May our branches reach so lovingly wide.
Love this one. I so resonate with the tree imagery and seek to share those same characteristics they often are described as possessing throughout the Bible.
